The Central Lakes Trail is a beautiful stretch of rail-to-trails paved biking that runs from Fergus Falls to Osakis. The trail connects with trails on either side making it a part of a much bigger trail system. It is a scenic path combining open prairies, woods and lakes. That being said, once the gorgeous fall leaves have fallen and the snow coats the path, it becomes a connector to hundreds of miles of snowmobile paths in West-Central Minnesota. In Douglas County the snowmobile trails are managed by DATA Trails. You can also connect to miles of trails in Otter Tail County
Are E-Bikes Allowed on the Central Lakes Trail? The short answer is YES, however they must meet certain criteria. Find all the information you need regarding the use of E-Bikes, Segways and other uses on State Trails on the DNR website HERE.
